Get use out of your Sachet Samples

As a beauty buff I love trying out new products and I wouldn’t turn down a free sample but I must admit I’m not really a fan of sachet samples. I find them awkward to squeeze out product and tend to only use them once if ever at all.

I received 5 sachet samples of Kerastase Nectar Thermique leave in heat protectant in my November Lust Have It box. To use you apply an almond sized amount to towel dried hair before heat styling – not really practical when packaged in a sachet.

To get the best use out of this product I purchased two cosmetic jars from Priceline and carefully squeezed each sachet into the jars. The cosmetic jars also came with a spatula which would be helpful for more creamer or thicker products.

I managed to fill both jars with product which will now be easier to use and will be great for travel.

With liquid travel restrictions now in place you can purchase cosmetic jars and bottles from just about anywhere and are great for transferring sachet samples or reducing your full size favourites for travel.

  1. I do the same thing with my sachets of samples and I'm always shocked at how much product is inside those things. They seem to last forever once it's been transferred whereas if I just use the product out of the sachet I waste it so quickly!

  2. Aww what a cute little container!!
I want some little jars just for fun!
I'm going to look for it next time I go Priceline :)
    Thanks for sharing!

  3. This is such a good idea! Thanks!

  4. I use similar containers as you do too! Sample satchets usually contain more than a 'one time use' amount, so these containers are so convenient.

  6. Great idea! I haven't seen these jars in Priceline before, but will keep an eye out next time. I have so many samples!

  7. I done the same thing with sachets of Liz Earle Skin Tint, it's so much easier.

  8. Great idea- I love having mini vesrions of everything for the gym!

  9. That's a cute little container! I really hate those little sample packets, i always have the hardest time opening them! By the way I like your blog, im a new follower!
