February Favourites

I feel like I havn’t done a favourites post in a while but they are always one of my favourite posts to write and read. I have gathered together some of my most loved products throughout February, hope you enjoy :)

The February Lineup

Australis Paparazzi Perfect High Definition Blush in Shoot to Thrill
As well as the gorgeous speckled pink colours, this blush has a range of cool benefits including light reflecting pigments and pore-invisible technology.

Benefit Box Powder in Hervana
The most recent Benefit powder to my collection, Hervana’s four pastel berry shades are so beautiful blended together and so easy to wear.

Bottom swatches L-R: Watts Up and Bare Study

Benefit Watts Up
This soft focus highlighter provides a soft golden glow wherever applied and application is a breeze with its handy stick packaging

MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study
Can’t get enough of this champagne cream shadow, I have been using this almost everyday as an eyeshadow base.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua
This was a repurchase while overseas; I love the lightweight feel, dewy finish and buildable coverage given by this foundation. For more information visit my review from the archives here.

Face of Australia Lip Quench in Pink Champagne and Lychee Crush
This lipstick line has really exceeded my expectations and I have been alternating these two colours for my everyday lip wear and I’m in love with the moisturising formula.

L’Oreal Gentle Make-Up Remover for Eyes & Lips
A two toned oil and lotion solution, I have been loving this make up remover as it’s effective and gentle…. Oh and I also love shaking it up to mix the solution :)

Sally Hanson Insta-Dri Anti Chip Top Coat
My new favourite top coat! The slightly thin formula glides over nails making them dry to the touch in just 30 seconds!! Gives manis a nice shine and makes even the cheapest polishes last for days.

Have I included some of your favourites too? If not, what were your most reached for beauty items of the month? Leave a comment below :)

Disclaimer: The Australis Paparazzi Perfect High Definition Blush was provided as a sponsored gift however this did not sway my opinion whatsoever :)

October Favourites

Can you believe its now only 8 weeks until Christmas? Exciting! Time flies when you’re having fun right? Sorry I have been MIA lately, I have been really enjoying daylight savings and getting out and about to enjoy the longer days after work. Feel free to browse my beauty loves for the month of October. x

Australis Ready Set Go Finishing Powder – I have been using this translucent powder everyday to set my foundation or BB Cream. This powder is inexpensive but effective and works a treat to set foundation, reduce oily shine and applies like silk – makes my face feel amazingly silky.

Benefit Coralista Box o Powder – A gorgeous shade of coral with a gold shimmer, this blush (like all Benefit box powders) works so well for day and night. I have been reaching for this blush for a simple pretty spring glow achieved with one sweep – smells lovely too!

L-R: Sand Pink and Rose

NYX Lipliner Pencil in Rose and Sand Pink that works well with most pink lipsticks. These liners are also very kind to the bank account and are creamy to apply and have great staying power. I hope to own more colours in the near future :)

L-R: Girl Meets Pearl and SAX Liquid Liner

SAX Liquid Eyeliner in Blackest Black – Let me start by saying this is the first liquid liner I have tried but after being successful in my very first liquid liner attempt, I have been using this regularly throughout October. The applicator is similar to a felt tip so its easy to get up and personal with your lash line without a brush bending to make mistakes. The liner applies really black and I found it to achieve great staying power after long days of shopping or nights out. I did find some applications did bleed a little however as mentioned above this is my first liquid liner I've tried and either way I have been loving the liquid look.

Benefits Girl Meets Pearl – Another highlighter to add to my collection! I received a sample of this a while back and loved it enough to purchase a full size. The colour is a pearly pink with a gold shimmer (so pretty) and I particularly love that the packaging is similar to a glue stick and you can twist as little or as much product as you like. A great product to brighten your complexion and highlight features.

Alpha H Liquid Gold Prep and Prime – Step 1 of the Alpha H Liquid Gold Skin Perfecting System this little baby has been ticking all my boxes in the skin care department for October. I apply 4-5 drops of this solution every night in conjunction with my normal night routine (alternately) and my skin has never felt so soft or looked so bright and hydrated. The purpose of prep and prime is to slowly prepare your skin (through the use of rich botanicals) to tolerate active enzymes and AHA’s ready for the use of step 2 the Skin Perfecting System – Liquid Gold (which I’m so excited to try as step 1 has been so amazing).

VIP Gold Super Beblesh Balm (BB Cream) – A perfect alternative to foundation for the warmer months. I have been reaching for my BB Cream more and more this month as it’s quick and easy and provides the perfect light coverage for days when it’s too hot to pile on the makeup. For a more in depth review, see my post here.

Nivea Invisible Anti- Perspirant Deodorant – Again, I have been using this all month and have been quite happy with the pleasant scent which has been long lasting, even during my sometimes 10 hour work days. It claims to be invisible against both white marks and yellow stains on clothing which is an added bonus.

….and the pièce de résistance

Urban Decay Naked Palette – Yes, I’m officially part of the Naked Club. 12 shades of neutral beautifulness which I’m sure need no introduction, I have had a great month experimenting with these colours and these are some of my top picks:

L-R: Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecare and Hustle

So what were your October beauty favourites?

Disclaimer: The Australis Finishing Powder and Alpha H Skin Perfecting System were provided as sponsored gifts as part of ABBW, however; I was under no obligation to include these productions in my favourites post or on Beauty Soiree.

August Favourites

August has flown by but I cannot complain as I’m really excited for what September has in store. So to put an end to a cold winter and to kick off spring with style, I thought I would do a August Beauty Favourites post, enjoy. Xx

August launched my love (or obsession) with lip products and these four have been my top picks for the month.

Back row L-R:

NYX Round Lipstick in Fig – A gorgeous deep pink colour, my “beach to bar” lipstick while I was on holidays.

Bloom Sheer Colour Lipstick in Coral – A fab sheer coral that looks beautiful for day time and smells of lollies J I have been wearing this to work and getting many complements.

SLA Rich Bio Lipstick in 11 – Day or night, anything goes with this dusty pink rose colour. SLA’s Bio range is made from all natural ingredients and this lipstick applies nicely and is long lasting.

Front:

Mirenesse Velvet Lip Lift Moisture Shine in Anemone – One of the samples I received in my first Lust Have It box. Officially a lip plumper, my favourite thing about this gloss is the colour; it’s a nice wearable nude pink. True to its name it applies like velvet and has a nice shine. Once on, I do notice that my lips look slightly plump without the annoying tingling or sting.

L-R: NYX Fig, Bloom Coral, SLA 11 and Mirenesse Anemone

I love cream blushes thanks to Bloom. The Sheer Colour Cream is such a nice wearable colour for both day and night and to apply I use my Sigma Duo Fibre F50 and lightly pat onto cheeks to build the desired look.

I’ve heard and read the rave reviews time and time again so I finally caved and purchased the infamous bronzer and blush and of course – I love them.

Any NARS lover can understand my devastation when I dropped my Orgasm Blush and it cracked!! In desperation, I jumped onto YouTube and conducted make-up surgery with the “alcohol pressing method” and although (thank goodness) it applies the same… it will never look the same again L.

Also received in my Lust Have It box (look out for my September box review), I used this product once and I loved how smooth and soft my skin felt instantly after use. The product is a unique rice-based enzyme powder, that when mixed with water creates an exfoliating paste that is gentle enough to use daily but gritty enough to leave your skin smooth and soft. I will be definitely purchasing the full size when I finish my sample.

So what were your beauty favourites for August?

Holiday Beauty Essentials

So I have just returned from the gorgeous Hamilton Island and like many of you (I’m sure) I packed way to many cosmetics for my week’s trip. So now I am home and slowly unpacking I thought I’d share with you some of my most used holiday beauty essentials.

NYX Lipstick in Fig

This gorgeous pink lippie took me from beach to bar in one application. I love the vibrant colour and creamy texture.

Dove Summer Glow

This gradual self tanning moisturising lotion was a life saver, I used it everyday to prolong my spray tan which luckily enough, last the full week.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunscreen Spray

I love the idea of a spray on sunscreen but the ones I have tried in the past have sprayed out in cream form which requires you to rub it in anyway but I love the Ultra Sheer by Neutrogena as it sprays on clear, dries nicely and is non sticky and has a nice clean scent. So quick and easy to give yourself a quick spray before you head out for the day – only downside is that it’s only SPF 15.

NARS Bronzer in Laguna

I think I wore this everyday; it was the perfect bronze for my spray tanned skin and its light and non shimmery – LOVE

Clinique Colour Surge Eye Shadow Trio
Containing a lilac shimmer (Blackberry frost), matte plum (night plum) and a matte dark brown (slate) this palette made it super simple to recreate the base, contour and defined eye look without thinking – so perfect when on holiday. I received this palette just before I left as a GWP during Clinique’s Gift Time and I love how the lilac really opens your eyes.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Diva

Dry Shampoo always comes in handy to give the brow dry a quick refresh in between washes. I have used other dry shampoo brands in the past but I was really happy with the results from Bastiste, after a quick spray my hair looked freshly washed and the product smells amazing too.

So what are your holiday beauty essentials? Am I right in saying that you also pack way to much when going on holiday or vacation?
