TAG - Seven Deadly Sins of Beauty

1.GREED

What is your most expensive beauty product?

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation – I paid $77(AUD) for this foundation however I have been really enjoying the light weight feel, buildable coverage and soft rose scent.

…..and what is your most inexpensive beauty product?

NYX Round Lipsticks – Purchased online for a mere $2.00(USD) each. I love these lipsticks for their affordability, colour range, moisture and longevity.

2.WRATH

What beauty products do you have a love and hate relationship with?

Sigma Brushes – For their price range they are great quality and I love their large range however what pains me is when they shed while in use – ugh! Nothing is more annoying.

…..and what product has been the hardest to find?

Urban Decay Naked Palette – O.M.G when this palette was first released I don’t know which was harder: finding a online store with palettes in stock or finding an online store that shipped to Australia.

3.GLUTTONY

What are you most delicious beauty products?

LUSH Bath Ballistics and bath melts – nothing beats a warm relaxing bath after a long day, delicious ;)

4.SLOTH

What Beauty Product Do You Neglect Due To Laziness?

Facial Masks – Unfortunately masks take the backseat in my current skin care regime; not because I don’t like them but because life takes hold and I never find myself time to enjoy a good facial mask.  

5.PRIDE

What product gives you most confidence?

Fake Tan – I always feel better with a tan (something that I find shameful to admit sometimes). As well as being the healthier alternative to sun baking I find fake tan great for evening out your skin tone, disusing wobbly bits and making you feel slimmer and concealing blemishes, scars ect.                  

6.LUST

What product makes you feel more attractive?

Mascara – I love long and voluminous eyelashes and I believe a great set of lashes can be so beautiful.  

7.ENVY

What beauty item would you most like to receive as a gift?

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette – I have been struggling to resist temptation however I would never turn down a gift…

FASHION

Tribal or Aztec? I agree with Meaghan on this one, aren’t they both the same?!?

Girly or Boho? Girly

Floral or Paisley? Floral but subtle floral nothing to loud or bright.

Chunky or single bracelets? Chunky, it’s all about layering!

Shoulder bag or wristlet? Shoulder bag, I find wristlets such a pain.

Nude pumps or red heels? Nude pumps – love love love my nude pumps.

MAKEUP

Volumizing or lengthening mascara? Maybe lengthening, long lashes are so beautiful.

Smashbox or Nars? I haven’t tried either…sad I know but I will choose Nars for my lust to try it’s Laguna bronzer and Orgasm blush.

Foundation or tinted moisturizer? Foundation.

Cream blush or Benetint? Cream blush, I went off Benetint when I used it as a lip stain and it made my lips soooo dry for days.

Liquid Liner or Gel Liner? Love the waxy consistency of a gel liner and the option for you to choose an application brush that works best for you.

To highlight or contour? Love the illumination and glowy look from a highlighter plus I’m still yet to perfect my contouring technique.

Priceline or Target? While they both stock similar brands and you cannot beat a Priceline discount, I’m really loving Target at the moment as they stock the more affordable lines of Bloom and Napoleon Perdis.

Myer or David Jones?  If we are talking my local Myer or DJ’s, I would have to go David Jones for it’s recently installed MAC counter and huge selection of OPI products. However, the cosmetic departments of Myer Sydney City and Bondi Junction are a beauty paradise with more counters than you would ever need such as MAC, Benefit, Kit Cosmetics and Mecca Cosmetica – just to name a few.

Touch up stick or concealer? Concealer, which I use for under eye circles and discoloration and to conceal any blemishes. I’m currently into my second tube of Rimmel Perfect Match Concealer – love it.  

Tanning mousse or tanning bed? Tanning mousse, I have had it drilled into me from a young age that tanning beds are a no no.

HAIR

Feathers or no feathers? No feathers.

Curling wand or curling iron? I have been using my GHD flat iron to create curls but I’m really keen to try a conical wand. I love the idea of wrapping your hair around, letting it heat for a few seconds and viola you have curls.  

Flat Iron or blow dry? I love a salon blow dry but unfortunately cannot recreate the smooth, bouncy just-walked-out-of-the-salon feeling at home so for DIY my GHD is my best friend.

Messy bun or pony tail? Messy bun – quick, easy and effective.

Braid (plat) or fishtail braid? Braid or plat – gosh I wouldn’t even be able to attempt to create a fish braid.

NAILS

Nail stickers or traditional polish? While traditional nail polish will always have a place in my heart, I’m really loving stick on nail polishes such as Sally Hansen’s Nail Effects.

Nicole by OPI or OPI? Both are top quality polishes but I would have to sway towards the original OPI for their Pro-Wide brush.
