30 Day Blog Challenge: My Favourite Foundation

I am a huge fan of YouTube gurus FleurDeForce and missglamorazzi and after watching many favourites and foundation routine videos by Fleur and the most recent “The BEST Foundation I’ve Ever Used” video by Ingrid (missglamorazzi) I have been desperate to try Chanel’s Vitalumiere Aqua foundation.

Last week I headed over to my local Chanel counter for a sneaky swatch and in hope of taking home a sample try. It must have been the bright lights or the images of the infamous interlocking “CCs” but the next thing I know, I was seated in the chair with the Chanel assistant giving me a mini makeover (I wasn’t complaining, she did a great job) and left with a luminescent complexion and my very own Vitalumiere Aqua foundation.

As you would expect, this was a pricy foundation and I purchased it for $77 from Myer, however it is a gorgeous foundation. Feeling light on the skin, this foundation offers a great coverage without the need to pack it on – less is actually more. It leaves your skin beautifully dewy (without the oily feeling) and is very durable as its stays put throughout the day.

30 Day Blog Challenge: My Favourite Brush

I received this brush as a gift with purchase with any two Nude by Nature mineral makeup products and now is my top reached for make up brush.

With thick rounded bristles (similar to a Kabuki brush) this is perfect for applying, blending and buffing mineral make-up, powder and bronzer.

7 things about me.....

My current favourite food is sushi and luckly my boyfriend likes it too so we eat it at least once per week. My absolute favourite is the Aburi Sushi – Grilled Salmon, yum!

My boyfriend and I are still currently living at home (yes, I’m a part of the generation that never want to leave the nest) but we do own an investment property together on the NSW Central Coast that is currently rented. We are looking to move out together by the end of this year…. Just need to find the right house for the right price in the Sydney property market (almost impossible).

I’m a collector of Programmes from concerts or musicals. I have a draw full of them from Jersey Boy’s, Wicked and Grease just to name a few. I really want to put them on display when I move out.

We have a part-time pet dog, Jack. LOL It does sound strange but my sister and her family live next door and since her children were born, her dog Jack was no longer the baby of the family so he sometimes comes to visit my house for a sleepover and for some time-out from the 1 and 3 year olds.

I loooove to travel, in 2007 when I went to Hawaii (favourite place ever) I made a pact, to myself, that I would go overseas every year until… well, until I couldn’t afford it anymore.  So far I have been to Hawaii, Thailand, Vanuatu and Fiji. I don’t think I’ll be going overseas this year but my boyfriend and I are heading to Queensland’s Whitsundays Islands in August 2011.  

My current favourite clothing chain store is Sportsgirl. They have become a little pricey but the fashion, accessories and beauty products are always on trend and its my one stop shop for an always in style outfit.  

While I’m not caught up in the wonderful world of blogging, I’m a full-time Manager in a small Private Hospital, although; my ultimate dream job would be working at an airport or for an airline as I love travel so much.

30 Day Blog Challenge: My Favourite Bag (that I own)

I have been lusting over Mimco's amazing collection of handbags and luxury accessories for quite sometime and was so excited when I received my very own "Metal Button ZipTop" handbag as a Christmas gift (2010) from my very thoughtful boyfriend.

This is my current everyday bag, however I am meaning to change it over as I do love it and don't want it to get ruined. This bag has plenty of room and as with all of Mimco's leather wallets and bags, the leather is just sooo beautifully soft.

30 Day Blog Challenge: My Favourite Eyeliner

I have recently joined the gel eyeliner craze and although I haven’t yet perfected a flawless eye line and flick I love the effect a gel liner gives.

As I’m only new to the gel liner club, I purchased a cheapie from Crush Cosmetics as well as a Coastal Scents Gel Liner Brush. I went with the brown as I prefer a more natural look; however I'm now keen for a black as I like it so much.

For those with an unsteady hand, like me, just use a cotton tip dipped in make-up remover to fix up any mistakes and to leave yourself with a professional finish.
